Job Purpose and Impact

  • The Advisor, Client Devices leads the efficient deployment, maintenance, and security of desktops, laptops, and mobile devices across Windows, Mac, and Mobility platforms. This role provides technical guidance for promptly resolving hardware and software issues, minimizing downtime, and ensuring compliance with organizational policies and industry standards. As a recognized subject matter expert, this position drives platform engineering, lifecycle management, and security initiatives to deliver a seamless and secure user experience.

Key Accountabilities

  • DEVICE CONFIGURATION & SETUP: Leads and reviews configuration and setup of Windows, Mac, and mobile devices, ensuring alignment with organizational standards and user needs. Owns and maintains Windows core load process for consistent deployment across supported hardware platforms.

    PLATFORM ROADMAP & ENGINEERING: Owns and evolves the roadmap for Windows, Mac, and Mobility platforms, including SCCM/MECM, JAMF, Intune, and MDM/MAM technologies, ensuring alignment with business strategy. Contributes to virtual desktop strategy and roadmap for Citrix, Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), and Windows 365.

    TECHNICAL SUPPORT & OPTIMIZATION: Provides advanced support and leads troubleshooting efforts for Windows, Mac, and mobile platforms; oversees technical health and performance of SCCM/MECM, JAMF, Intune, and related tools. Delivers Tier 4 support for complex OS-level and virtual desktop issues.

    SECURITY & COMPLIANCE: Implements and maintains security measures across Windows, Mac, and Mobility platforms to ensure compliance with organizational policies and audit readiness. Designs and executes patching strategies and vulnerability remediation for physical and virtual endpoints.

    VENDOR MANAGEMENT: Manages vendor relationships, ensuring strategic alignment and platform optimization.

    INVENTORY & LIFECYCLE MANAGEMENT: Oversees global catalog and lifecycle management for Windows, Mac, and mobile devices, ensuring efficient asset tracking, governance, and compliance across all platforms.

    DOCUMENTATION & TRAINING: Develops and maintains documentation for Windows, Mac, and Mobility platform configurations and processes; delivers user training to improve adoption and reduce support requests.

    COLLABORATION: Partners with client experience engineers and other technology teams to integrate regional feedback and ensure seamless platform integration within the broader IT infrastructure. Collaborates on cloud migration planning, cost optimization, and user experience enhancements for virtual platforms.

Qualifications

  • Minimum requirement of 6 years of relevant work experience. Typically reflects 10 years or more of relevant experience.

    Preferred Qualifications:
  • Deep knowledge of Windows OS troubleshooting, performance optimization, and imaging processes.
  • Proficiency in SCCM/MECM, Intune, JAMF, GPO management, and Active Directory integration.
  • Experience with Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops, Azure Virtual Desktop, and Windows 365.5+ years scripting experience (PowerShell preferred).
  • Familiarity with SQL and PowerBI reporting (preferred).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).

    Technical/Functional Skills:
  • Windows endpoint imaging, patching, and compliance management.
  • SCCM/MECM and Intune administration.JAMF and MDM/MAM platform optimization.
  • Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops and Azure Virtual Desktop architecture.
  • PowerShell scripting and automation.
  • Networking fundamentals (preferred).
