Cargill in the Community

At Cargill’s India Capability Center (ICC) in Bangalore, our employees are dedicated to strengthening the communities where we live and work. Through strong partnerships and volunteerism, we have served over 5 million meals to local schoolchildren with Akshaya Patra, refurbished 1,000 classroom blackboards in just one hour—earning recognition in the Asia and India Book of Records—and renovated 32 Anganwadis to support early childhood education. Our environmental efforts include rejuvenating a lake in Yelahanka, increasing its water storage capacity from 12 million to over 90 million liters, and implementing rainwater harvesting systems in three government schools to enhance water usage and groundwater levels. Our volunteers have organized sports days and health and hygiene sessions in local schools, and in July 2025, they donated 166 units of blood to support children with thalassemia. Through the Cargill Cares Council, employees are empowered to create lasting impact by engaging in meaningful projects aligned with Cargill’s focus areas.
