Advisor, Strategic Sales Consultant

Our portfolio includes poultry, beef, egg, alternative protein, salt, oils, starches, sweeteners, cocoa and chocolate.
Job Purpose and Impact
The Advisor, Strategic Sales Consultant will expand strategic partnership with assigned large customers in the Texas panhandle region. In this role, you will create demand for company products and services by raising the company's profile with customers. You will collaborate with other teams to ensure defined customer needs are met.
Key Accountabilities
- Develop and implement strategy for designated key customers to expand demand, improve margin growth and extend strategic partnership.
- Establish trust, mutually beneficial and long term partnership with customers, clarify mid to long term customer needs and develop and agree to a specification of customer requirements.
- Collect insights from the external market to understand competitors and influence trends, define and deliver value proposition.
- Build and nurture an internal network to deliver optimal solutions such as the leadership of collaboration with key stakeholders internally, definition of long term strategy and anticipation of challenges to ensure effective resolution of issues.
- Use tailored storytelling that resonates with and inspires customers, that create excitement around our role in the achievement of their strategic objectives.
- Other duties as assigned
- Provide expert thought leadership in your field and work with limited direction, using additional research and interpretation to identify issues or problems. You may provide direction to supporting team members and be a strategic contributor.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Project management skills
- Experience in understanding customer context, uncovering customer key performance indicators, articulating customer objectives and adding value to partnerships
- Minimum requirement of 6 years of beef industry relevant work experience
- Able and willing to travel up to 60% in the region
- Valid drivers license in good standing
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in business development in highly competitive, mature markets
Position Information
- Relocation assistance will not be provided for this position.
- This will be a home office role but needs to reside in the Texas panhandle region. Up to 60% travel is required to cover the area of responsibility.
