Job Purpose and Impact

The Director Project Management for Food EMEA will lead the development, management and execution of a portfolio of projects and programs. You will be responsible for aligning portfolio and program outcomes, objectives and tehnical goals with the Food EMEA group and business strategy as well as with the program sponsors to deliver business outcomes. In this role, you will provide oversight and leadership to program or project managers and will partner cross functionally across businesses and functions to develop the overall portfolio and program approach.

Key Accountabilities

  • Lead the development of the portfolio of projects that will be targeted to meet the strategic goals and value targets of the group and business strategy.
  • Align stakeholders across functions and lead development of a strategic program approach within each program or portfolio area.
  • Promote strong business and customer partnerships to ultimately influence strategic and systemic changes, set organization goals as well as governance around process improvement and leading practices within the related business and functions.
  • Project manage key strategic project or program for the business.
  • Provide overall resource management to ensure resource forecasting and balance across the projects within the portfolio and programs.
  • Monitor portfolio and project performance metrics and goals as well as overall business impact of projects within the portfolio & identify variances to plan and corrective actions as appropriate.
  • Develop knowledge of emerging developments and improvements within the industry.
  • Leading and developing a team of experienced Project Managers, coaching and making decisions related to talent management, hiring, performance and disciplinary actions.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Hands-on project management experience for minimum five years. 
  • Hands-on portfolio management experience for minimum three years.
  • Minimum of five years of supervisory experience.
  • Overall work experience of twelve years or more.
  • Experience with program and process methodologies
  • Proficiency with project management software, spreadsheets and above average presentation skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP Certification
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt Certification
  • Generative AI or equivalent Certification
