Job Purpose and Impact

  • Come build and govern the AI platform that engineers across Cargill will use every day—enabling low-code and pro-code AI agents that turn real problems into real outcomes. This role blends platform engineering with Agile leadership, ensuring teams can deliver high-quality AI solutions efficiently and responsibly. You will guide platform governance, coach teams on Agile best practices, and facilitate delivery by removing blockers and enabling continuous improvement. Key Accountabilities

  • PLATFORM GOVERNANCE: Designs and enforces platform governance standards including code contributions, versioning, access controls and safe usage patterns across a multi-team AI platform.
  • METRICS: Defines, develops and monitors platform adoption metrics.
  • AGILE FACILITATION: Facilitates Scrum ceremonies. Coaches teams on Agile best practices, continuous improvement and collaboration to improve delivery velocity and quality.
  • ROADBLOCK REMOVAL: Identifies and removes impediments to enable AI development teams to deliver value efficiently across dependencies.
  • CI/CD & RELEASE GOVERNANCE: Leads CI/CD implementation with automated testing, quality gates, security checks and controlled release processes.
  • RELIABILITY & OPERATIONS: Establishes SLOs, monitoring, incident response and runbooks to ensure platform reliability and operational excellence.

Qualifications

  • Minimum requirement of 4 years of relevant work experience. Typically reflects 5 years or more of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience facilitating Agile delivery for platform or engineering teams, including Scrum or scaled Agile frameworks.
  • Familiarity with AI/LLM platforms, multi-model orchestration and agent-based workflows.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, release governance and automated quality controls.
  • Experience with AWS services including IAM, containers, networking and observability.
  • Understanding of platform governance concepts such as API lifecycle management, versioning and access control.
  • Experience with observability practices including logs, metrics, traces and incident management.
  • Ability to influence cross functional teams and drive alignment across multiple stakeholders.

Short Description

Minnesota Sick and Safe Leave accruals of one hour for every 30 worked, up to 48 hours per calendar year unless otherwise provided by law.

The expected salary for this position is $105,000- $160,000. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific location, certifications, education, and level of experience. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. This position is eligible for a discretionary incentive award. The incentive award amount is dependent upon company performance and your personal performance. At Cargill we put people first.
