Senior Professional, Insurance Advisory
Job Purpose and Impact
The Senior Professional, Insurance Advisory is responsible for various insurance duties, including administration of marine insurance claims, contract review regarding insurance requirements, and maintaining accurate data within the marine insurance tracking system. This individual will interact with business units, insurance broker, insurer, and surveyors.
Key Accountabilities
- Reviewing marine insurance claims and determine the applicable insurance cover, assess supporting documentation, and provide recommendations on reserve amounts.
- Coordinating inspections of relevant sites and provide guidance on loss mitigation actions.
- Reviewing insurance provisions in supplier and customer contracts for compliance with company requirements.
- Perform or oversee the maintenance of marine program location data within the declaration and tracking system, ensuring that business requests are responded to timely and accurately.
- Manage or oversee certain marine insurance declarations and other tasks as requested from time to time.
Qualifications
- Minimum requirement of 4 years of relevant work experience. Typically reflects 5 years or more of relevant experience.
- Insurance, in particular marine insurance, experience strongly preferred. Experience handling marine insurance claims is a plus.
