Job Purpose and Impact

The Cook I, will perform day to day duties regarding executing routine preparation and serving of hot meals and lunch dishes for plant employees and visiting guests with frequent guidance. In this role, you will provide support to repetitive activities related to catering service of the plant in accordance with established sanitary rules and procedures, food safety rules and legal regulations to ensure the defined requirements are met.

Key Accountabilities

  • Assist with the day to day responsibilities related to preparation of hot meals, cooking and preparing dishes including organization and distribution of regenerative meals for operational.
  • Responsible for serving ready made meals to employees every day, both in the onsite dining room and takeaway, with guidance or oversight.
  • Assist with the shopping for groceries to prepare meals and purchase of packaging, hygiene, chemical and food products.
  • Responsible for keeping the kitchen, dining room and catering rooms clean.
  • Receive and maintain purchasing and sanitation documentation while ensuring compliance with all hygiene and sanitary rules.
  • Apply general knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations and principles including participation in training and instruction in this field.
  • Other duties as assigned
