The Batch Operator, is responsible for safely creating all batches of oil for all production lines in the packaging plant, by managing the packaging tank farm, using the packaging fill schedule, and coordinating with the Packaging, Refinery, and FSQR leadership and operators.

Compensation: $28.34 /hr - after probation period $29.34

Key Accountabilities

  • Manage the packaging tank farm by recording, tracking and reporting tank and oil status across all three packaging shifts.
  • Coordinate with the packaging shift supervisors, scheduler, FSQR and the packaging supervisor to ensure that needed oil is ready to make blends.  
  • Conduct required packaging quality testing.  
  • Coordinate with FSQR to ensure all Lab testing is completed and within SAP specification prior to blends being made, and request and interpret COAs
  • Transfer the correct oils from across the facility into a packaging tank and add the correct additives to complete the blends.
  • Ensures blends are made, tested and ready for all lines on all shifts to prevent waiting on oil downtime.
  • Issue oils and additives in MII and oil transfers in SAP, insuring FIFO is followed.  
  • Reviews all orders are completed and closed out in SAP and MII at completion of each blend fill.  
  • Perform any other duties as requested by the production supervisor.
  • Understanding and adhering to all safety rules and regulations.
  • Maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

 Required Qualifications

  • Advanced computer skills (SAP/MII experience preferred)
  • Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
  • Above average math comprehension skills
  • Ability to read and understand all written processes and procedures
  • Ability to work overtime including weekends, holidays, or different shifts with advance notice.
  • Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting, with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Able to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to work well with others
  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent (AA degree preferred)


    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Good mechanical comprehension skills
