Production Supervisor - 2nd Shift

This position is in our Food Enterprise where we are committed to serving food manufacturers, food service customers, and retailers with a complete range of innovative ingredients and branded products. Our portfolio includes poultry, beef, egg, alternative protein, salt, oils, starches, sweeteners, cocoa and chocolate.
Job Purpose and Impact
The Production Supervisor will provide strategic operational oversight for designated production areas in the Dayton facility, overseeing a moderate degree of complexity. In this role, you will oversee and hold a designated area accountable to standards for safety, quality, operational effectiveness, and financial performance.
Key Accountabilities
- Execute routine operations of designated areas, ensuring direct reports are following policies and procedures related to employee, food safety, and environmental compliance
- Monitor production outcomes, quantity, and quality to ensure customer and food safety requirements are within specifications
- Partner with peer production supervisors to meet customer specifications and timelines
- Administer a department production budget by executing purchase orders and ensuring timely payment of invoices
- Develop operational plans and monitor routine operations across designated departments, processes, and shifts
- Develop, supervise, and provide coaching to direct reports including coaching company core values and guiding principles
- Responsible for personnel decisions related to hiring, performance, and disciplinary actions for your direct reports as necessary

Minimum Qualifications
- Right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-party employer
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum of one year of related work experience
Preferred Qualifications
- One year of supervisory experience
- Experience working in a food and/or poultry processing environment
- Bilingual in English/Spanish or English/any other language
- Experience utilizing SAP and/or IPFS systems
- Experience applying lean manufacturing principles and pursuing continuous improvement in a manufacturing environment
