Job Purpose and Impact
The Manufacturing & Supply Chain (MSC) Finance Senior Analyst for our Food NA enterprise performs complex managerial accounting activities and partners with business leaders to support financial decision making. With minimal supervision, this job prepares financial reports, analyzes and reviews financial data and makes recommendations on budgeting and forecasting processes. This job also leads the continuous improvement and optimization of MSC Finance processes across our facilities, working in strong partnership with adjacent teams across MSC, Controllership and FP&A to increase effectiveness and efficiency of our core services.
Key Accountabilities
- REPORT DRAFTING: Prepares complex financial and non-financial reports for internal partners, analyzing and reviewing financial data to ensure relevant information is shared in a timely and accurate manner.
- BUSINESS PERFORMANCE TRACKING: Develops reports and dashboards to track business performance against plans, budgets, forecasts and other key performance indicators.
- DECISION SUPPORT: Reviews and communicates insights based on financial analysis and research to support strategic business decision making, as well as ensuring proper internal controls at the facility.
- COST ANALYSIS: Reviews plant cost analysis for specific products, or projects to better understand cost drivers and opportunities for improvement. Conducts initial financial & KPI analysis and interpret the results to the business.
- CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT: Maintains knowledge of industry trends and accounting standards, ensuring compliance and driving process innovation and continuous improvement within the department to increase effectiveness and efficiency.
- MANAGEMENT REPORTING: Leads the implementation of effective management reporting practices to improve and ensure data integrity and relevancy.
- RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT: Cultivates and maintains close partnerships with business leaders and business teams to understand local and regional business needs and collaborates with other finance leads to deliver on overall finance function expectations.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum requirement of 4 years of relevant work experience. Typically reflects 5 years or more of relevant experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Advanced data analytical skills for using spreadsheets and business intelligence tools
- Experienced leveraging financial and business systems to monitor business activities and aid in decision making.
- Experienced working with multiple businesses
- Plant Manufacturing experience
- SAP experience
- Project Management skills
- Experience optimizing finance services across a matrixed organization.
