Principal Accountabilities 

  • Ensure safe operation of utilities and refrigeration systems by applying knowledge of Hazmat, Emergency Response (ER), and Process Safety Management (PSM) requirements
  • Maintain the reliability and safe performance of ammonia refrigeration, boiler systems, and other highly hazardous industrial processes
  • Ensure accurate documentation, planning, and execution of maintenance tasks by effectively using computers and the facility’s computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)
  • Support equipment reliability and predictive maintenance programs by utilizing PdM technologies such as infrared (IR), ultrasonic (UE), vibration analysis (VA), and oil analysis (OA)
  • Maintain system functionality by applying technical knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, PLCs, electrical systems, and mechanical components during maintenance and troubleshooting activities

Required Qualifications 

  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1-2 years of industrial refrigeration experience in an industrial environment
  • Experience using computers and a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, and cover shifts before or after scheduled work
  • Prior experience working in a Process Safety Management (PSM)–regulated ammonia refrigeration or hazardous process environment
  • Must successfully complete a Pulmonary Function Test

  • Previous Cargill experience
  • Work history in the past 12 months
