Job Purpose and Impact

The Sanitation Superintendent is accountable for effective leadership and continuous improvement for facility sanitation processes for quality, cost, delivery, safety, training, and morale. In this role, you will be accountable for the development, implementation, execution and evaluation of the sanitation program and taking corrective action to prevent product contamination. You will ensure all cleaning and sanitation is executed in compliance with company and governmental regulations and policies.

Key Accountabilities

  • Oversee the cleaning and sanitization of equipment, surfaces, utensils and plant environment by providing direction to motivate and provide technical support to all sanitation employees and other plant employees as the need arises.
  • Plan sanitation requirements and activities by establishing priorities, budgets, schedules, assigning work and communicating with sanitation staff and key stakeholders frequently and regularly within timelines.
  • Monitor and update the sanitation standard operating procedures and participate in audits, implementing corrective actions plans based on findings.
  • Order, manage inventory and safely store sanitation agents and cleaning substances.
  • Partner with contractors, suppliers, and technical staff to trouble shoot and eliminate root causes of non-conformities.
  • Support and execute the company's safety programs at the facility in conjunction with other personnel and provide input on sanitation excellence across the organization.
  • Lead and develop a team, coach and make decisions related to talent management, hiring, performance, and disciplinary actions.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Experience with email, spreadsheet, word processing and other software applications
  • Knowledge of the sanitation process, cleaning chemistry, chemical storage, handling and dispensing systems and sanitary design principles
  • Knowledge of industry related quality systems and inspection programs, cleaning systems and chemicals
  • Minimum requirement of 4 years of relevant work experience. Typically reflects 5 years or more of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Two years of supervisory experience
  • Knowledge of good manufacturing process, safety, lock out and tag out and health and safety regulations

Position Details

• Location: Fresno, CA;  Relocation support may be provided
• Schedule is Monday – Friday typically from 10:00pm to 6:00am. Weekends and holidays as needed
• The business will not sponsor applicants for work visas for this position
• The expected salary for this position is $90,000-$110,000. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific location, certifications, education, and level of experience. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. This position is eligible for a discretionary incentive award. The incentive award amount is dependent upon company performance and your personal performance.
