Job Purpose and Impact

The Stockroom Assistant is responsible for the material flow and storage in the maintenance parts room. In this role, you will for at times with other departments to ensure appropriate inventory levels of stocked parts are addressed. You will work closely with maintenance employees. As part of this role, you will perform cycle counts, put away inventory, enter receipts into SAP, create purchase requisitions. 



Key Accountabilities

  • Responsible for issuing parts and make corresponding adjustments in the system.
  • Maintain general food safe and plant safe housekeeping of parts room and maintenance shop.
  • Perform clerical tasks, including receiving, purchase requisitions, kit work orders for mechanics, spare parts cycle counts and other tasks.
  • Collaborate with purchasing and maintenance employees to ensure stock levels are accurate.
  • Handle moderately complex clerical, administrative, technical or customer support issues under general supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma, secondary education level or equivalent
  • Minimum of two years of related work experience
  • Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada.
  • SAP experience 
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds

Preferred Qualifications

  • Warehouse experience
  • Proficient in computer skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Inventory experience with a focus on inventory counts
