This position is in our Ag & Trading enterprise, where we connect producers and users of grains and oilseeds around the globe through origination, trading, processing, and distribution. We also offer a range of farmer services and risk management solutions. 

Job Purpose and Impact

The responsibility of this position is to ensure the efficiency in Export-Import of commodities from all the major & minor seaports and across the world. This role requires the individual to coordinate Export- Import Documentation (Containers & Bulk) Shipping Lines, Customs & Other Govt bodies, operations processes, Customer service and quality management. Achieving operations efficiency to the highest possible standard and meeting the company's expectations.

Key Accountabilities

  • Ensure that the end-to-end Trade Execution processes are executed flawlessly, involving contracts management, plan, execution and finalization the shipment. The operational lapses are minimized/ managed.
  • Maintains and develops relationships with small-size customers, suppliers and other business partners
  • Collaborate with trade execution teams in other regions as necessary.
  • Follows up on new contracts with routine customers in reference to quality, quantity, origin, delivery period and schedule, payments, and pricing.
  • With oversight, actively works directly with traders to ensure smooth execution
  • With frequent direction, communicates with agents on estimated time of arrival and any foreseen issues/concerns.
  • May communicate with ocean transportation to make adjustments to the voyage of vessels
  • With frequent direction, searches for opportunities to optimize planned costs and any other cost saving opportunities and analyze unexpected costs to identify root causes and define action plan.
  • May conduct routine risk analysis on execution plans/contracts to provide recommendation for next steps.
  • Under direct supervision, participate in process improvement analysis to search for process efficiency opportunities and deliver data driven recommendations
  • Build and maintain relationships with strategic stakeholders internally and externally and leverage client interactions and business partnerships to ensure the execution of the related activities and processes.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Degree in any field (preferably In Internal Business or Export/Import Documentation)
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English
  • Computer proficiency – Analytical tools,PowerBI MS Office (word/excel/Power Point etc.),
  • Minimum 6-8 Years of exp in the Field of Supply Chain, Shipping & Documentation.
  • Strong communication skills/soft skills.
  • Good working attitude, positive approach. 
  • Flexible and adaptive to changing conditions in the business/markets/industry.
  • Have ability to work with the team
  • Effective decision making and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in handling border trade execution(Nepal/Bangladesh)
  • Knowledge of import and export regulations in India (other countries is an added advantage).
  • Knowledge regarding vessel handling and discharge operations
  • Knowledge in grains and other Agri commodities handling/conditions
  • Knowledge in cost and warehouse management
