Our portfolio includes poultry, beef, egg, alternative protein, salt, oils, starches, sweeteners, cocoa and chocolate.

Job Purpose and Impact

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable execution of production activities during your shift. You will provide leadership to a team of operators while driving a strong culture of safety, operational excellence, quality, and continuous improvement. As the operational leader on shift, you will play a key role in maintaining production performance, supporting employee development, and ensuring compliance with all safety, quality, and environmental standards.

Key Accountabilities

  • Lead and supervise a team of process operators within the refinery.
  • Promote and maintain a strong safety culture, ensuring full compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate daily production activities to achieve operational targets related to safety, quality, throughput, and efficiency.
  • Monitor process performance and respond to operational deviations in a timely and effective manner.
  • Support troubleshooting efforts and make operational decisions to maintain plant reliability and performance.
  • Coach, develop, and engage team members to build capability and foster a high-performing work environment.
  • Ensure effective shift handovers and accurate reporting of operational activities and key performance indicators.
  • Collaborate closely with Maintenance, Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams.
  • Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, reliability, productivity, and cost optimization.
  • Act as the primary point of contact and decision-maker for operational matters during the shift.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Languages: Dutch & English
  • Ability and willingness to work in a continuous shift schedule.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Several years of experience in a manufacturing or process industry environment.
