Sr. Workshop Supervisor
Job Purpose and Impact
Sr. Workshop Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the workshop, ensuring that all maintenance and repair activities are carried out efficiently, safely and in line with company standards. This role plays a key part in maintaining equipment reliability and support the overall continuity of operations.
Key Accountabilities
Ensure maintenance schedules are properly implemented for light vehicles, heavy equipment, and generators.
Perform general and top overhaul tasks independently or with the team, covering light vehicles, heavy equipment, and generators.
Accurately analyze technical issues and prepare the required materials and spare parts for repairs.
Manage and supervise the workshop team, including task allocation, performance monitoring, and technical skill development.
Use Microsoft Office and reporting systems to prepare daily, weekly, and monthly workshop activity reports.
Conduct quality control on workshop outputs, ensuring technical standards and safety requirements are met.
Actively participate in workplace safety programs, including implementing HSE standards, incident reporting, and safety briefings for the team.
Coordinate with related departments such as Operations, Estate, and Fleet to support smooth maintenance and repair processes.
Evaluate and plan equipment and spare part needs, while proposing improvements to enhance workshop efficiency.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum Diploma III or Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering other related technical fields or equivalent experience.
Preferable have 2 years of work experience in workshops, heavy equipment maintenance or vehicle repair, preferably in industrial or plantation environments.
Able to perform general repairs and overhauls (General & Top Overhaul) on light vehicles, heavy equipment, and generators.
Skilled in diagnosing technical issues and determining appropriate repair solutions, including planning for spare parts and materials.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for reporting and documentation.
Experience with maintenance management systems is an advantage.
Strong supervisory and team management skills; communicative and able to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
Knowledgeable in workplace safety standards and actively involved in HSE (Health, Safety, Environment) programs.
Proactive, disciplined, and results-oriented; able to work under pressure and adapt to operational challenges.
Preferred Qualifications
Possess technical certifications related to vehicle and heavy equipment repair.
Proven experience in leading teams and delivering technical training.
Familiar with maintenance management systems.
High initiative with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Experience in budget management and improving workshop operational efficiency.
