FSQR Food Service Lead - SEA
Job Purpose and Impact
The Food Safety Quality and Regulatory (FSQR) Food Service Lead - SEA, provides FSQR leadership for the Food Service business across South East Asia (SEA), supporting a network of external manufacturing (Ex-Man) sites. This role partners with country, regional and corporate stakeholders to align strategy, standardize processes, manage risk, and drive continuous improvement across food safety, quality and regulatory compliance.
Key Accountabilities
- Lead FSQR strategy and execution for the Food Service business across SEA, including food safety, quality, regulatory risk management, and customer engagement.
- Serve as the primary FSQR interface between customers, external manufacturing partners, and Cargill; proactively manage customer queries, audits and non-comformances.
- Partner with R&D to support commercialization of Food Service products at external manufacturing and Cargill-owned sites, enabling speed-to-market.
- Interpret and implement applicable laws, regulations, policis, procedures and customer/supplier standards for the Food Service Asset Light (ASL) model in a consistent and compliant manner.
- Design, deploy, and continously improve FSQR systems, programs, and processes, including product specifications, change management, and risk prevention.
- Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate food safety, quality and regulatory risks through preventive controls and robust issue resolution.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with customers, regulatory agencies, and internal stakeholders to address concerns and drive timely, appropriate resolutions.
- Foster a strong product safety and quality culture through collaboration with regional leadership and cross-functional partners.
- Contribute to strategic and tactical planning, including input on base and non base capital needs to sustain and improve product safety at Ex-Man locations and for projects where needed.
- Support development and implementation of new regional and enterprise FSQR processes and systems.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in food safety, quality assurance, and/or regulatory affairs.
- Proven experience working with external manufacturing or complex supply networks.
Preferred qualifications
- Masters in Science with Experience with food, feed, health, safety, and quality management systems.
- Demonstrated success driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Experience contributing to or designing business and FSQR strategies.
- At least 2 years of people or matrix leadership experience.
Prior beneficial experience
- Experience with audits, customer specifications, and regulatory inspections.
- Experience building, influencing, and leading high-performing teams in a matrixed environment.
- Laboratory or technical operations management experience.
