All required PPE is provided by the company including prescription glasses. All tools are provided by the company. We offer a uniform service paid for by the company.
There is a tier system for training. TPC training offered online. Completing the training is how you move up the tiers.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Primary duties include operating, maintaining, servicing, inspecting hoist conveyances, repair and replacement shaft components, grouting and drilling equipment. Operating hoists, jack-leg, forklifts and conducting pre-operational checks, housekeeping and other assignments as directed
- Understanding and adhering to all safety rules and regulations
- Maintaining a safe and clean work environment
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- Right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-party employer
- Cargill requires employees be a minimum of 18 years old to work in a production facility
- Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
- Must be able to operate machinery and/or industrial equipment
- Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50 lbs., kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting safely, with or without a reasonable accommodation
- Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays with advance notice
- Ability to work underground in a mining environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to perform lubrication, servicing and minor maintenance for equipment related to the classification.
- High school diploma/GED
