Job Purpose and Impact
The Financial Trading Group Trader will drive profit generation through the financial trading group’s proprietary trading activities with a primary focus in Asian emerging markets. In this role, you will actively trade and invest in the assigned markets including foreign exchange, interest rates, and sovereign credit and ensure desk profitability and pursue alpha generation through proprietary positioning.
Key Accountabilities
- Apply a deep understanding of financial trading practices and procedures to develop and execute the long term trading strategies and books.
- Generate consistent trading profit in emerging and developed markets related to higher risk asset classes in foreign exchange rates, sovereign credit markets and similar instruments.
- Coach and mentor other members within the team in the generation of profit.
- Execute and monitor higher proprietary trading positions and exposures including the long term trading book and ensure accurate recordings to reflect proprietary trading positions and strategies traded.
- Foster relationships with strategic internal and external stakeholders.
- Other duties as assigned
- Provide expert thought leadership in your field and work with limited direction, using additional research and interpretation to identify issues or problems. You may provide direction to supporting team members and be a strategic contributor.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Confirmed financial trading track record with consistent high risk return results in the afore mentioned markets
- minimum of 6 years of related work experience
- Other minimum qualifications may apply
Preferred Experience
- Generate trading profits in foreign exchange rates, local rates, sovereign credit markets and similar instruments.
- Provide trade ideas and research information to related team members.
