Job Purpose and Impact
We seek a Trader who will primarily be looking at foreign exchange, bond and interest rate derivate products in emerging markets. In this role, you will generate income by creating and applying trading strategies, complying with the company risk policy.
Key Accountabilities
- Apply a thorough understanding of markets to execute and monitor the short-, medium- and long-term trading strategies for a specific market in both speculative and investment positions.
- Generate market, positions and profit and loss reports
- Handle and monitor medium trading positions and exposures, including the short-term trading book.
- Responsible for selecting and executing trades within limits. He/she will also be responsible for accurate and timely reporting of positions to the back office and monitoring risk limits and providing information to the risk group and management about the nature and size of risks in the position they manage.
- Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowlegde in finance, Economics, or related
- 3-4 years of experience in financial markets risk taking
- English fluency
- Mathematical background and ability to understand financial markets. Ability to communicate verbally and in writing complex positions and trade thesis, ability to make and support decisions
- Competency in Excel and Bloomberg required
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master’s Degree
- Background in Foreign Exchange, Bond and Interest rate Derivative markets
- Programing ability
- Fluency in other trading or analysis systems
