Job Purpose and Impact

The Manufacturing and Supply Chain Finance Analyst for the Case Ready location in Marshall, Missouri performs moderately complex managerial accounting activities in support of financial decision making. With minimal supervision, this job analyzes and reviews financial data and proposes recommendations on budgeting and forecasting processes. This job also participates in the continuous improvement of management information systems, reporting standards and business metric development to drive data informed business decisions. This is an onsite role at our Marshall Plant 4-5 days a week.

Key Accountabilities

  • REPORT DRAFTING: Drafts moderately complex financial and non-financial reports for internal partners by gathering, prioritizing and analyzing financial and non-financial data and key performance indicators.
  • BUSINESS PERFORMANCE TRACKING: Prepares reports and dashboards to track business performance against plans, budgets, forecasts and other key performance indicators and draws linkages between non-financial key performance indicators and actual costs for effective tracking, analysis and reporting.
  • DECISION SUPPORT: Identifies insights based on financial analysis and research to support strategic business decision making.
  • COST ANALYSIS: Analyzes costs associated with products, projects, or specific plants to help better understand cost drivers and opportunities for improvement.
  • CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT: Participates in continuous improvement initiatives within the department by researching industry trends and accounting standards and finding opportunities to improve data integrity and relevancy and to increase effectiveness and efficiency of management information systems and reporting standards.
  • MANAGEMENT REPORTING: Implements the approved effective management reporting practices to ensure data integrity and relevancy and to communicate the reporting and costs at the local level.
  • RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT: Maintains positive relationships with business leaders and business teams to understand local and regional business needs.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum requirement of 2 years of relevant work experience. Typically reflects 3 years or more of relevant experience.
  • Ability to work at our Marshall, Missouri Plant, onsite 4-5 days a week.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Plant Manufacturing experience
  • SAP experience

Located in Marshall, Missouri, a small town of just over 13,000 residents nestled between Kansas City and St. Louis, Cargill’s Marshall facility has been a cornerstone of the local economy since 1972. Originally established as a pork harvest facility, it transitioned to case-ready meat production in 2001.

Today, the facility employs approximately 620 team members and produces a wide range of fresh beef, pork, ground beef, and value-added meat products for some of the largest grocery retailers in the U.S., primarily through private-label brands.
