Sanitation Worker

The Sanitation Operator I, will perform housekeeping and sanitation processes using basic equipment and following sanitation schedules and safety processes. In this role, you will maintain good housekeeping and sanitation conditions to ensure food safety regulations and other local regulations are met, prevent failures and maintain safe work areas.

Principal Accountabilities
- Utilize cleaning tools, supplies and cleaning chemicals
- Follow all Food Safety (HACCP), & GMPs policies
- Understanding and adhering to all safety rules and regulations
- Maintaining a safe and clean work environment
- Maintain a food safe work environment by maintaining hygienic work conditions
- Comply with all GMP, safety, sanitation and any other plant rules as established by the company
- Document completed tasks using the master sanitation schedule
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
- Must be 18 years or older
- Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
- Basic Computer skills
- Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)
- Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting, with or without a reasonable accommodation
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays with advance notice
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with food production environment
- High school diploma/GED or a minimum of two years equivalent work experience
