Job Purpose and Impact

The Maintenance Technician will perform complex maintenance and troubleshooting on production or warehouse machinery with in depth knowledge of a trade or understanding of multiple trades performing under occasional guidance. In this role, you will utilize maintenance and reliability practices to complete preventative, predictive and reactive maintenance to ensure assets are maintained to ensure effectiveness of the facility.

Shift Available: Afternoon shift
Compensation: $28.00/hr-$35.00/hr. Based on preferred qualifications and experience

Key Accountabilities

Principal Accountabilities: 

• Completing preventative, predictive, and reactive industrial maintenance throughout the facility
• Operating standard maintenance tools such as power tools, basic hand tools, electric tools, precision maintenance tools, preventative maintenance technology tools, etc.
• Utilize and work with maintenance trades and components such as welding, pipefitting, fabrication, gearbox and bearing maintenance, lubrication, pumps and piping systems, mechanical maintenance, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Documenting completed work and the conditions found, utilizing maintenance computer software as neccesary
• Understanding and adhering to all safety policies and procedures
• Maintaining a safe and clean work environment 
• Other duties as assigned 

Qualifications

Required Qualifications: 

• Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada 
• Must be 18 years or older 
• Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Ability to work in outside on elevated platforms(100 feet aproximately)
• Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting, with or without reasonable accommodation
• Ability to work overtime including on call, holidays, nights, weekends, or different shifts with advance notice
• Ability to work within a confined space
• Demonstrate experience in 1 or 2 maintenance trades and components (ex. welding, pipefitting, fabrication, gearbox and bearing maintenance, lubrication, pumps and piping systems, mechanical maintenance, and hydraulic and pneumatic systems)
• At least 1 year of industrial maintenance experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with maintenance planning processes  
• Experience with the standard maintenance methods, principles, practices, tools and equipment
• Previous exprience operating mobile equipment
