This position is in our Food Enterprise where we are committed to serving food manufacturers, food service customers, and retailers with a complete range of innovative ingredients and branded products. Our portfolio includes poultry, beef, egg, alternative protein, salt, oils, starches, sweeteners, cocoa and chocolate.

Job Purpose and Impact

The Senior Sales Account Manager will focus on a portfolio of clients that includes large select customers as well as developing strategies for several smaller accounts. In this role, you will sell industry leading solutions and mentor team members with your expertise. You will work primarily with customers using traditional telephone communication as well as video telephone software.

This role is an onsite position in Pontoon Beach, IL office that will cover Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Tennessee, Kentucky, Alabama, Arkansas. Up to 20% travel is required to cover the area of responsibility.

Key Accountabilities

  • Develop a plan to establish and maintain account relationships and meet personal sales targets.
  • Build a business plan for each account.
  • Coordinate the use of resources provided by the organization and fellow team members to provide value added services to accounts.
  • Develop strong client relationships that provide significant input to planning, product, price and service strategies.
  • Support sales leadership and other sales professionals in developing new market opportunities in the designated territory or market.
  • Contribute to the team by advancing objectives that drive the team's overall success.
  • Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of four years of related work experience in sales, business development or related field
  • Strong presentation skills comfortable presenting in front of customers and face to face interaction
  • Able and willing to travel up to 20%
  • Valid driver’s license in good standing

Preferred Qualifications

  • Protein sales experience
  • SAP and Salesforce experience
  • Bilingual: English and Spanish
  • Proven experience selling products in a business-to-business sales environment
  • Sales experience working with large food manufacturing business

Applicant Information

The expected salary for this position is $80,000 to 120,000. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific location, certifications, education, and level of experience. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. This position is eligible for a discretionary incentive award. The incentive award amount is dependent upon company performance and your personal performance.
