JOB SUMMARY

The Professional, Business Strategy job identifies and develops moderately complex business development analyses aligned to the strategic priorities, including acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures and commercial agreements, to support the development business and market specific strategies that support profitable growth. With limited supervision, this job coordinates execution of strategic action plans and critical initiatives identified in business or corporate strategies.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • STRATEGIC ANALYSIS & SCENARIO DEVELOPMENT: Structures moderately complex business problems, develop hypotheses and conduct qualitative and quantitative analyses to address strategic questions and generate insights that inform strategic priorities.
  • PORTFOLIO & PERFORMANCE ASSESSMENT: Partners to assess industry structure, business models, key profit drivers and organizational dynamics to support synthesis of insights that inform strategic direction.
  • STRATEGIC RECOMMENDATIONS & VALUE CREATION: Partners to develop data driven recommendations and supporting materials to capture identified strategic opportunities, linking recommendations to financial plans and execution plans, to support value creation.
  • TRANSACTION EVALUATION & DEVELOPMENT: Partners to prepare target lists and insights for specific acquisition, joint venture and divestiture recommendations and performs ongoing assessment of targets confirmed and prioritized by corporate development.
  • STRATEGY EXECUTION & WORK PLANNING: Partners to implement business or market specific strategy execution plans and performs moderately complex workstream activities to deliver insights and recommendations within identified timelines and targets, ensuring alignment to defined objectives and progress toward the desired outcomes.
  • STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT & ALIGNMENT: Cooperates with cross functional teams to ensure effective execution and process.
  • LEADERSHIP COMMUNICATION & STRATEGIC SYNTHESIS: Prepares clear written and verbal communications summarizing analyses and findings to support partner understanding and decision making.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum:

  • Commercial mindset, and strong business acumen
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Demonstrated ability to problem solve and use analytical thinking
  • Strong proficiency across Microsoft Office products (PowerPoint, Teams, Excel…etc).
  • Proficiency with AI tools (Chat GPT, Co-Pilot, etc)
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively and confidentially with various levels of organization and potentially customers
  • Ability to adapt to different cultures, and be part of a global team
  • Ability to be proactive and self directed on projects

 Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in one of the following: Sales, Commercial Excellence, Commercial Management, FP&A, Trading, Business Development, Demand Planning, Strategic Marketing, Modeling
  • Ability to travel– 10-20%
  • Demonstrated strong analytical capabilities 
  • Ability to clean, structure, map and blend data using Knime or similar tools and visualize and analyze it using tools like Tableau/Power BI.Ability to work with limited information or work under ambiguity
  • Strong presentation and interpersonal skills to build trust with various stakeholders
  • Self-starter with ability to structure own work while collaborating with others
  • Comfortable with working within a diverse and inclusive environment
  • Experience with external databases like Euromonitor, Nielsen, etc.Ability to quickly understand business processes, sales tools, system architecture etc.
