Cluster Lead - Poultry
Job Purpose and Impact
To lead and grow the poultry additives and premix business within the assigned region by driving sales, developing key customer relationships, managing the regional sales team, and executing business strategies to achieve volume, value, and profitability targets.
Key Accountabilities
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Achieve regional sales targets for poultry additives and premix products
- Develop and implement regional sales plans aligned with national business strategy
- Identify new business opportunities, key accounts, and growth segments based on customer JTBD’s
Key Account & Customer Management
- Build strong relationships with key customers, integrators, consultants, and distributors.
- Lead negotiations on pricing, contracts, and commercial terms within company guidelines.
- Ensure high customer satisfaction through technical-commercial coordination and timely issue resolution.
Channel & Distributor Management
- Appoint, manage, and develop distributors and channel partners in the region.
- Monitor distributor performance, inventory, credit control, and market coverage.
- Strengthen route-to-market effectiveness and ensure compliance with company policies.
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, coach, and develop Sales Leads in the geography
- Set clear targets, KPIs, and performance reviews for the sales team.
- Build a high-performance, customer-focused sales culture.
Market Intelligence & Strategy
- Track market trends, competitor activity, pricing, and customer preferences.
- Provide regular market feedback and business insights to management.
- Support demand forecasting and sales planning.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Work closely with SMT, Technical Services, and other cross function teams.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Sales volume and value achievement
- Regional profitability and contribution margin
- New customer acquisition and retention
- Team performance and capability development
Qualifications
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in science or relevant streams , A degree in Veterinary and Animal Sciences will be an added advantage.
- 8–12 years of experience in Poultry nutrition, additives, or premix sales
- Minimum 3–5 years in a regional or team leadership role
- Experience of handling Large integrators, Feed manufacturers, and Layer farms.
