Post Fixture Liquidator
Job Purpose and Impact
The Post Fixture Liquidator will provide a high level of customer service and participate in basic hire calculations and negotiations, issuance of freight invoices, finalization of voyages and profit and loss accountability. In this role, you will help ensure efficient export and import of commodities from all the major and minor seaports across the world.
Key Accountabilities
- Prepare charter party, hire statements, freight invoices and commission invoices
- Follow up on hire outstanding and ensure with finance team, amounts are properly accounted in the system
- Prepare and raise Hire statements with accuracy and as per the relevant/agreed Charter Party clauses with a focus onthe maximization of profit and service quality with a customer
- Work closely with the operations desk, marine operation coordinators, credit control team and accountants on items related to Hire/freight and commercial claims
- Monitor the port disbursement account for Finalization
- Investigate and drive the resolution of general hire related claims
- Handle basic issues and problems under direct supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field and equivalent experience
- Proficient with standard computer operations and applications like word processing, spreadsheets and data systems
- Other minimum qualifications may apply
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Understanding of administrative tasks related to shipping or commodity business
PRIOR BENEFICIAL EXPERIENCES:
- Education or training in shipping, commodity, maritime or economics
- Customer service experience
- Training or understanding of Hire calculations/Laytime or demurrage processes
- Knowledge in IMOS Application
