Principal Accountabilities

  • Perform ongoing assigned lead activities, including providing day‑to‑day support and guidance to sanitation team members while remaining a hands‑on operator
  • Execute labor‑intensive sanitation and housekeeping processes using specialized equipment in accordance with sanitation schedules, safety procedures, and food safety regulations
  • Adhere to safe work practices, applicable government regulations, and company guidelines to maintain sanitary conditions, ensure product quality, and verify compliance with lockout and tagout procedures  
  • Perform basic maintenance and facility‑support tasks inside and outside the facility, including shoveling snow, applying salt, painting handrails and pipes, and ordering supplies as needed 
  • Ensure and support completion of scheduled inspections of sanitation‑related equipment, including steam and tempered water hoses  
  • Ensure proper chemical concentrations through titration
  • Ensure all required production and sanitation paperwork is accurate and completed on time
  • Safely contain and proactively address potential issues related to the storage, handling, and usage of cleaning chemicals, including use of required PPE and operation of specialized sanitation equipment
  • Perform detailed sanitation activities including scraping, shoveling, sweeping, soaping, spraying, power washing, sanitizing, scrubbing, lifting, carrying, pushing containers, and disassembling and reassembling equipment
  • Perform additional sanitation or facilities‑related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • One (1) years’ experience working overnight shifts, weekends, and in wet, cold, and physically demanding environments while wearing extensive PPE, including rain gear and chemical protective equipment
  • One (1) year experience performing labor-intensive sanitation and housekeeping tasks using specialized equipment
  • Six (6) months’ experience executing sanitation schedules, following safety standards, following regulatory requirements and lockout/tagout procedures
  • Six (6) months’ experience ensuring accurate and timely completion of sanitation and/or production documentation
  • Six (6) months' experience executing sanitation duties utilizing proper chemical handling and concentration

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Ability to communicate in English (read, write, & speak)
  • Three (3) years of sanitation experience in a food manufacturing or industrial production environment
  • Three (3) years’ experience providing informal leadership, training, or work directions to sanitation teams 
  • Three (3) years’ experience working with sanitation chemicals, specialized equipment, and food safety regulations
  • Three (3) years’ experience coordinating sanitation activities in an overnight or weekend operation
