LATAM Strategic Marketing Director (Meats & Other Proteins)
Job Purpose and Impact
The LATAM Strategic Marketing Director (Meats & Other Proteins) is responsible for defining and executing marketing strategies that drive sustainable growth, profitability, and market share for the processed meats and protein portfolio across Food LATAM markets. This role leads the brand portfolio strategy, strengthens brand value propositions, and accelerates growth through innovation for key brands including Bucanero, Campollo, and Kimby.
The position requires strong strategic and analytical capabilities, deep consumer and category understanding, and close cross‑functional collaboration to ensure successful delivery of business objectives.
Key Accountabilities
Category Strategy
• Develop and implement the category marketing strategy for LATAM aligned with business objectives.
• Analyze market trends, consumer insights, and competitive landscape to identify growth opportunities.
Brand Positioning & Communication
• Set the Brand value proposition according to target consumer segments value expectations and Market opportunities.
• Ensure consistent brand messaging and positioning across all marketing channels.
• Lead the development of integrated marketing campaigns for the category.
Go-to-Market Execution
• Manage product launches and promotional activities.
• Collaborate with commercial teams to ensure flawless execution.
Innovation & Portfolio Management
• Identify opportunities for new products or line extensions.
• Work closely with R&D and local teams to bring innovations to market.
Performance Monitoring
• Track category performance (volume, profitability and market share).
• Build, along with local teams, actions plans to chase for Market opportunities or close gaps on performance.
• Use data-driven insights to optimize marketing investments and improve ROI.
Budget Management
• Manage and allocate marketing budgets effectively.
• Ensure cost efficiency and maximize Marketing Budget return on investment.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in strategic marketing or branding.
• Marketing experience in processed meats and other proteins categories.
Preferred Qualifications
• Minimum 7 years of people management or supervisory experience.
• Proven track record in Category Management, Brand Management, and brand building.
• Advanced English proficiency is a plus.
