Job Purpose and Impact

The TRM Feed Ingredients - Trade Execution is responsible for making sure that the needed raw materials and ingredients for the Feed Mills are available in the right quantities at the right time so that production flows smoothly and financial resources are not tied up in the inventory.

This role will be responsible for the trade execution process creating and maintaining a detailed Materials Delivery Plan taking into consideration capacities, feed mill demand, inventory holding costs and other factors.

Key Accountabilities

50%: MATERIALS DELIVERY PLANNING

  • Responsible for the detailed materials delivery plan taking into consideration production volume to determine an optimum stock level.
  • Anticipate potential inventory issues like shortages and oversupply. Generates ideas, insights and solutions to prevent or resolve potential problems, followed by decisive action to implement solutions.
  • Use effective collaboration skills thru sharing of important business information to all concerned. 

25%: SUPPLIER DELIVERY MANAGEMENT

  • Coordinates delivery schedules and other matters with the suppliers as needed. Manages the flow of inventory from the supplier to the plant, warehouses and other locations.

20%: SYSTEMS / DATA MANAGEMENT, REPORTING & ANALYSIS

  • Ensures that all materials requirements are identified, communicated and documented thru appropriate creation of Purchase Requisitions and Purchase Orders in the ordering system.
  • Works with feed mill operations to ensure adequate inventory is available
  • Makes sure that all supplier and material details are entered in the ordering system and appropriate master data details are available.

5%: Other Duties as Assigned

  • Provides other support to production and management as required.

Qualifications

Minimum Required Qualifications

  • University degree
  • >3 years experience in materials delivery planning or inventory management.
  • >2 years experience in feeds/foods supply chain environment is preferred.
  • Knowledge of materials management theories, processes and practices.
  • Knowledge and experience of using MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems or similar.
  • Good understanding of supply chain processes and their interdependencies.
  • Effective and professional verbal and written communication skills with team, internal customers and suppliers that includes a strong focus on teamwork and internal/external customer satisfaction.
  • Exhibits & encourages a sense of urgency.
  • Organized with strong attention to detail, and superior follow-up and follow-through skills.
  • Proven ability to multi-task and prioritize projects and primary responsibilities.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, colleagues, and suppliers.
  • Proficient in MS Office, including advanced Excel skills.
  • Ability to perform under time pressure.
