Job Purpose and Impact

Cargill Bioindustrial is seeking a Senior Packaging Compliance Professional to lead compliance with the European Union’s Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR), while helping to minimise impact on the business and customers.This role will also develop, implement and maintain processes and programmes to support ongoing compliance with other existing and emerging packaging regulatory requirements, including Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) regulations

Key Accountabilities

  • Implement processes to support Cargill Bioindustrial’s compliance with packaging and EPR requirements, starting with PPWR, while minimising business impact.
  • Monitor, assess and document the regulatory status of packaging placed on the market by Cargill Bioindustrial.
  • Provide expertise and knowledge of existing and emerging global packaging regulations and their applicability to Cargill Bioindustrial.
  • Ensure reporting, documentation and any submissions to regulatory authorities are completed accurately and on time.
  • Deliver packaging compliance training to internal and external stakeholders, including business, procurement, regulatory colleagues and customers.
  • Collaborate with other regional colleagues to coordinate compliance requirements where applicable.
  • Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating where appropriate.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience
  • Relevant experience in regulatory affairs, packaging compliance, EPR, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of the EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (EU) 2025/40 (PPWR).
  • Experience leading or contributing to cross-functional teams.
  • Minimum of four years of related work experience .
  • Fluent English proficiency (written and spoken). 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience implementing regulatory systems and processes in a complex business environment.
  • Knowledge of related regulatory topics such as REACH, CLP, food contact materials and ADR.
  • Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP.
  • High level of Excel proficiency.
