Packaging Plant Operator
Job Purpose and Impact
The Process Operator II will operate, perform maintenance and troubleshoot a series of machines and equipment with interaction of several process variables to produce product with broad knowledge of policies and procedures and regular guidance. In this role, you will maximize throughput and produce quality product while following all food safety and regulatory polices.
Key Accountabilities
- Operate process plant as per SOP (standard operating procedure) i.e, plant start up, shutdown, emergency shutdown, change over products and normal operation.
- Learn operating procedures, receives input from peers and may provide feedback on clarity and effectiveness of guidance, including procedure documentation to pursue continuous improvement of facility operation.
- Use hand and power tools to perform preventative and autonomous maintenance and troubleshoot machine issues, escalating complex machine issues.
- Monitor equipment, operate control, process samples, adjust machine processes using selectivity and judgement and utilize computer systems to input and record data.
- Set up and operate control systems for a series of machines requiring interaction of several variables.
- Understand and adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum SPM with credits in Bahasa Malaysia, English and Mathematics.
- Credit in Science is added advantage
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Basic mechanical & electrical knowledge.
- Experience from food industry or palm oil industry is added qualification
