Job Purpose and Impact

The Account Lead will participate in face to face meetings with existing and prospective clients to understand customer needs and suggest appropriate products, services and solutions nearly every day. In this role, you will provide effective communication and customer presentations to demonstrate how the company's product can provide solutions to increase overall performance and value for the customer.

Key Accountabilities

  • Develop strong relationships with Strategic Key customers and distributors in Confectionary and Bakery and other categories and build out the customer portfolio to increase the company sales and gross margin.
  • In alignment with the company strategy, expand the customer base in the Korean market.
  • Act as a bridge between the customer and internal teams (Japan, China, SEA), facilitating relationship building and collaborating with the team to support value creation for the customer.
  • Manage and execute bids, tenders and contract negotiations and solve quality issues.
  • Identify new sales opportunities among the company’s wide range of portfolio and commercial partnerships.
  • Network with companies in the industries and attend industry events and conferences to better understand markets and customers.
  • To promote sales to customers, visit the company’s overseas factories, research centers, or training facilities approximately once a year.
  • Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Over 5 years of experience in sales or technical service related to food ingredients in Bakery or Confectionary categories.
  • Ability to build trust-based relationships with customers and strengthening those connections.
  • Ability to leverage past experience and knowledge, while proactively seeking to learn more.
