Position Purpose & Summary

Cargill Cocoa & Chocolate, with nearly 50 years of industry experience, is a leading provider of food ingredients and solutions, sustainably delivering high-quality cocoa and chocolate products globally. We partner with customers to innovate across a wide range of applications including cocoa powder, chocolate, coatings, fillings, cocoa butter, and liquor.

The Product Line Intern will support activities relating to market insights, and strategic project execution. This role provides hands-on exposure to commodity markets, P&L management, and commercial decision-making, while contributing to initiatives that drive business growth and innovation.

Key Accountabilities

  • Develop understanding of cocoa and chocolate commodity markets and key demand-supply drivers.
  • Track market trends, pricing movements, and external factors impacting the business.
  • Research and propose profitable strategies to the Product Line team.
  • Communicate and interact with functions like supply chain, R&D and GTM teams to enhance customer service and product line strategies.
  • Conduct research, analyze data, and contribute projects not limited to strategic sourcing and production innovation.
  • Provide analytical and operational support to improve decision-making and efficiency.
  • Support P&L analysis and position reporting.
  • Assist in preparing financial reports and insights to support commercial decisions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, minimum penultimate student.
  • Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field.
  • Strong interest in commodity markets and financial analysis.
  • Analytical mindset with ability to interpret data and trends.

Preferred Skills

  • Exposure to tools such as Python, Power BI, Bloomberg, or Reuters.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Proactive, self-driven, and collaborative team player.

Location

  • Open to travelling between CBD and Tuas (West Singapore).
