Job Purpose and Impact

The High Seas Trade Execution Coordinator will mainly focus on contract execution activities for moderately and high complex flow(s) for one or multiple product lines shipped on Ocean vessels and also coordinate and plan import and export processes, customs documentation, shipping and receiving of foreign commodities to ensure it arrives at correct time. In this role, you will issue import licenses and complete monetary transactions associated with the import in a timely manner. This role will execute activities in the area of business partnership, compliance, shipment execution and documentation as some activities related to workload management and development of new team members.

Key Accountabilities

  • Reconcile data for inventory, warehouse transfers, loading orders, quality, claims, demurrage and dispatch cases.
  • Develop and cultivate relationships with complex accounts, Ocean transportation, customers, clients, suppliers and other business partners including collaboration with other trade executions team outside of the EMEA region.
  • Follows up on new contracts with highly complex customers in reference to quality, quantity, origin, delivery period and schedule, payments, and pricing.
  • Work with external authorities, agents, at load/unloading port, supervision companies and other service providers to lead shipment and ensure customer clearance documentation.
  •  Ensure compliance with the home and foreign country government laws and customs regulations.
  • Monitor contracts, daily execution plans for shipment, tracking voyages and loading/discharging operations.
  • Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum requirement of 2 years of relevant work experience. Typically reflects 3 years or more of relevant experience.
  • Fluent English language skills – written and verbal.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with International Commodity Contracts (GAFTA, FOSFA)+ Incoterms.
  • Knowledge in SAP modules (any type).
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, SharePoint, Word, etc.).
  • Knowledge of Ocean freight conditions
