Production Supervisor (Further Processing & Grind) 2nd Shift
Job Purpose and Impact
The Production Supervisor will provide strategic operational oversight for designated production areas in the Springdale facility, overseeing a moderate degree of complexity. In this role, you will oversee and hold a designated area accountable to standards for safety, quality, operational effectiveness, and financial performance.
Key Accountabilities
- Execute routine operations of designated areas, ensuring direct reports are following policies and procedures related to employee, food safety, and environmental compliance
- Monitor production outcomes, quantity, and quality to ensure customer and food safety requirements are within specifications
- Partner with peer production supervisors to meet customer specifications and timelines
- Administer a department production budget by executing purchase orders and ensuring timely payment of invoices
- Develop operational plans and monitor routine operations across designated departments, processes, and shifts
- Develop, supervise, and provide coaching to direct reports including coaching company core values and guiding principles
- Responsible for personnel decisions related to hiring, performance, and disciplinary actions for your direct reports as necessary
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-party employer
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum of one year of related work experience
Preferred Qualifications
- One year of supervisory experience
- Experience working in a food and/or poultry processing environment
- Bilingual in English/Spanish or English/Marshallese
- Experience utilizing SAP
- Proficiency in basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Word
- Experience applying lean manufacturing principles and pursing continuous improvement in a manufacturing environment
