This position is in Cargill’s animal nutrition and health business, where we improve animal lives through better nutrition. Our team researches, innovates and creates solutions that deliver healthy results for our customers.

Job Purpose and Impact

Oversee the logistics operations of the site by ensuring operational performance, regulatory and social compliance, and optimal management of human and material resources, while maintaining strong relationships with external partners and actively contributing to coordination with the production team.

Key Accountabilities

  • Operational Management and Optimization : Supervise the organization of delivery routes in coordination with the dedicated teams; Ensure smooth logistics flows and high-quality customer service; Monitor performance indicators; Oversee the management of delivery accidents and incidents: analysis, resolution, and follow-up of corrective actions; Manage product shortages and actively participate in production meetings to anticipate and prevent stockouts.
  • Team Management : Supervise drivers and route optimization teams; Conduct annual performance reviews, manage schedules, absences, and conflict resolution; Handle recruitment needs in collaboration with the HR department.
  • Fleet and Equipment Management (new C2030 scope) : Monitor the renewal of vehicles and delivery support equipment; Ensure technical and regulatory compliance of the fleet; Manage disputes related to vehicles (accidents, breakdowns, insurance); Ensure fuel tank replenishmen; Define specifications for the procurement of new equipment.
  • Subcontractor Relations : Maintain ongoing relationships with transport partners; Monitor contracts, performance, and resolve any disputes; Participate in negotiations and continuous improvement of services.
  • Social and Regulatory Management : Ensure compliance with social regulations (working hours, safety, etc.); Guarantee adherence to transport legislation; Manage administrative records for drivers (licenses, training, etc.).
  • Administrative and Financial Monitoring : Control and validate invoices related to logistics services in coordination with the accounting department; Prepare and update monthly provision tables for logistics costs.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Ability to work with spreadsheets and word processing applications
  • Knowledge of business management software modules used in administration of logistics
  • Understanding of logistics document processes and flows
  • Minimum requirement of 1 year relevant work experience. Typically reflects 3 years or more of relevant experience.
  • One year of supervisory experience
  • Fluency in French and English
