This position is in Cargill’s agricultural supply chain business. We sit at the heart of the supply chain, partnering with farmers and customers to source, make and deliver essential products.

Job Purpose and Impact

Position ON SITE IN UBERLANDIA/BRAZIL - The EHS Technician will provide expertise in health, safety, and the environment to implement programs and standards in accordance with Cargill legislation and policies. In this role, you will support the implementation and enforcement of environmental, health, and occupational safety management processes and programs. The professional will work on risk identification and control, inspections in operational areas, accident investigation, and technical report preparation, ensuring compliance with programs and other legal requirements.

Key Accountabilities

  • Build partnerships and interact with workers in production, maintenance, administrative areas, and leadership;
  • Assess risks, opportunities, and impacts, occupational safety, health, and environmental standards and regulations, and advise on potential impacts;
  • Monitor occupational safety, health, and environmental activities, including emergency response plans and incident/accident management;
  • Contribute to process safety and risk management by identifying and assessing high-risk processes;
  • Conduct periodic inspections in work areas to identify hazards and risks, participate in risk analysis, and propose preventive measures;
  • Identify legally required company processes, programs, and controls and integrate them into operating procedures, tools, and work instructions;
  • Prepare technical reports, identify opportunities for improvement and risk mitigation, participate in the accident and incident investigation process;
  • Support audits, government inspections, and customer visits;
  • Conduct and deliver training in accordance with global and regional requirements, sharing technical knowledge and continuous improvement;
  • Other assigned duties.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Training (technical course) in Occupational Safety Technician with active registration;
  • Intermediate level Office package
  • Knowledge of Regulatory Standards (NRs) 06, 07, 09, 10, 11, 12, 13, 20, 23, 33, and 35
  • Other minimum qualifications may apply.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven ability to solve problems and make decisions independently;
  • Ability to relate technical knowledge to work-related tasks;
  • Proven knowledge or skills in risk analysis and monitoring of risk activities;
  • Knowledge of computers and control tools related to EHS;
  • Basic knowledge of English.
