Transport planner
Job Purpose and Impact
As a Transport planner, you ensure the smooth and reliable flow of products across international markets for a leading global chocolate manufacturer. You coordinate daily transport operations, safeguard data accuracy, and help maintain high service performance. Your work directly supports on time deliveries, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence. By collaborating with logistics partners and internal teams, you contribute to a resilient and efficient global supply chain. This role plays a key part in bringing high quality chocolate products to customers worldwide.
Key Accountabilities
- Plan, schedule, and optimize bulk transport operations (road / bulk carriers) to ensure timely, cost effective delivery aligned with customer and production needs.
- Coordinate daily bulk transport execution with third party logistics providers, resolving issues related to capacity, sequencing, delays, or operational deviations.
- Prepare transport schedules, loading plans, and delivery instructions, ensuring full alignment between production, warehousing, and carrier availability.
- Oversee execution by ensuring accurate communication of sales orders, transport orders, and delivery data to third party carriers via electronic systems.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels at the external warehouse, ensuring stock accuracy, transport availability, and timely replenishment.
- Track bulk transport performance and contribute to KPI reporting, including transport efficiency, on time delivery, and service deviations.
- Handle complaints and non conformances related to bulk transport, conducting investigations and initiating claims with carriers when required.
- Provide administrative logistics support, including transport invoice validation, documentation control, and adherence to audit, safety, and quality standards.
- Serve as backup for transport planners and export administration tasks.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of bulk transport processes.
- Ensure compliance with product safety, quality, and hygiene standards throughout bulk transport and storage activities.
- Resolve routine planning and execution issues independently, escalating more complex or systemic problems to senior logistics or supply chain management.
- Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Other minimum qualifications may apply
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in logistics.
- Fluent in 3 languages : Dutch, French and English
