Location

This role is based at Cargill's Global Headquarters in Wayzata, Minnesota and currently offers a hybrid work environment with a minimum of four (4) days in office and up to one (1) day remote each week.

Job Purpose and Impact

  • The Senior Analyst, Corporate Strategy job partners to assess enterprise and portfolio performance, analyze market and competitive trends and identify growth opportunities to support the development of corporate and business unit strategies that drive long term value creation. With limited supervision, this job also partners to develop strategic insights and recommendations, investment cases and associated financial and execution plans to inform strategic decision making.

Key Accountabilities

  • STRATEGIC ANALYSIS & SCENARIO DEVELOPMENT: Structures moderately complex business problems and develop hypotheses and conducts qualitative and quantitative analyses to help address strategic questions and generate insights.
  • PORTFOLIO & PERFORMANCE ASSESSMENT: Partners to assess industry structure, business models, key profit drivers and organizational dynamics to synthesize performance insights that inform strategic priorities.
  • STRATEGIC RECOMMENDATIONS & VALUE CREATION: Partners to prepare data driven recommendations and supporting materials to capture identified strategic opportunities, including acquisitions and divestitures, linking recommendations to financial and execution plans, including acquisition gameboards, to ensure value creation.
  • STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT & ALIGNMENT: Cooperates with cross functional teams to support effective execution process.
  • WORK PLANNING & DELIVERY: Develops and implements moderately complex workstream plans to deliver insights and recommendations aligned to defined timelines and targets and supports the implementation of strategy execution plans.
  • LEADERSHIP COMMUNICATION & STRATEGIC SYNTHESIS: Prepares clear written and verbal communications that summarize workstream specific analyses and findings to support partners' understanding and informed decision making.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum requirement of 2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Ability to work onsite in Wayzata, Minnesota.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in strategy development across growth and transformation topics.
  • Strong knowledge of financial modeling and corporate finance.
  • Experience in the agricultural, food or commodities sectors is a plus.

Compensation Data

The expected salary for this position is $90,000 - $110,000. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific location, certifications, education, and level of experience. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. This position is eligible for a discretionary incentive award. The incentive award amount is dependent upon company performance and your personal performance.
