Job Purpose and Impact

The Service Now Product Owner for Finance will be responsible for representing the business needs and managing the product backlog to achieve the desired business outcomes. In this role, you will understand customer and business needs, build internal stakeholder commitment, develop deployment roadmaps, and partner collaboratively across the organization to jointly develop, launch and govern the product implementation experience. You will partner with the team on costs, return on investment and accountability to the business stakeholders. You will work across all areas of Finance in scope for ServiceNow, including Credit to Cash, Invoice to Pay, Cash Management, Treasury, Tax, and Travel & Expense. You will ensure coordination across those Finance domains to understand their requirements, and partner with Cargill Digital and Data teams, ServiceNow consultants, and SI partners to ensure smooth delivery of the solution. As the solution is deployed you will be the lead point of contact for Finance, ensuring the solution is stable and continues to evolve to meet new business requirements, partnering with Technology Product Managers to manage backlogs and prioritize delivery of Finance capabilities.

Key Accountabilities

•    Serve as the point person on the product development team using high level perspective to define goals and create a vision for product development projects.
•    Own product strategy and solution, from inception to delivery and identify business value and end user outcomes including key performance indicators and financial return on investment.
•    Conduct business process analysis and discovery workshops with stakeholders to understand current processes, pain points, and requirements.
•    Design workflows to enable end-to-end processes, leveraging ServiceNow capabilities to improve collaboration, efficiency, transparency, and user experience.
•    Provide recommendations on future state Request to Resolution models that meet global, best-in-class standards for case management.
•    Work with teams across finance to:
      - Develop detailed business requirements and functional specifications for ServiceNow implementations.
      - Create and maintain knowledge base articles, service catalogs, and workflow documentation.
      - Prepare user stories and use cases to define requirements for system adjustments.
      - Create process maps for end-to-end case management workflows, supported with roles and responsibilities (RASCI), SLAs, and KPIs.
•    Offer guidelines on technology setup to meet the requirements of transformed C2R models for specific service lines.
•    Work closely with our technical implementation team who will handle the actual system configuration.
•    Conduct user acceptance testing to ensure the implemented solution meets business requirements.
•    Ensure delivery of training and change management support to ensure successful adoption of new processes and tools.
•    Monitor post-implementation performance and recommend continuous improvements.
•    Create product roadmaps as a high level, strategic visual summary that outlines the vision and direction for the product offering over time, to be used as a strategic guide for stakeholders to reference and as a plan for execution.
•    Create the product backlog items and prioritize them based on the overall strategy and business objectives and map out project dependencies to inform the necessary sequence of development.
•    Partner collaboratively with the team to build working solutions in order to obtain feedback as quickly as possible.
•    Provide expert thought leadership in your field and work with limited direction, using additional research and interpretation to identify issues or problems. You may provide direction to supporting team members and be a strategic contributor.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

•    Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
•    Clear understanding of agile values, frameworks and metrics
•    Proven ability to define and execute product strategy, roadmap, and vision aligned with enterprise goals
•    Experience in analyzing business needs and managing ServiceNow requirements from a business perspective
•    Practical knowledge of the ServiceNow platform and experience deploying to Finance function
•    Experience leading change and communication with a large and diverse group of stakeholders
•    High technical fluency and comfort discussing technical architecture, API integrations, and data flow between ServiceNow and finance systems
•    Proven track record of working across technology, data, and functional teams to deliver agreed outcomes in ServiceNow implementations
•    Minimum of six years of related work experience. Typically reflects 10 years or more of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

•    Understanding of Flow Designer, Service Catalog, and Integration Hub for finance-related automation
•    Familiarity with ERP integrations (esp. SAP & JDE) and how ServiceNow connects with them
•    Understanding of core financial processes: General Ledger, Accounts Payable/Receivable, Expense Management, and Financial Planning
•    Ability to translate requirements into both technical user stories and compelling business cases
•    Experience facilitating teams and breaking down business requirements into deliverables
•    Understanding of Case Management principles and Request to Resolution processes
•    Certified ServiceNow Product Owner or ServiceNow System Administrator
•    Experience with ITFM (IT Financial Management) or ServiceNow’s Financial Management application
•    Project management certification
•    Agile product owner certification
•    Profit and loss management experience

Additional Information

The expected salary for this position is $131,000.00 - 200,000.00. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific location, certifications, education, and level of experience. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. This position is eligible for a discretionary incentive award. The incentive award amount is dependent upon company performance and your personal performance.
