Job Purpose and Impact

The Shopper Marketing Specialist will support the execution of shopper marketing campaigns across key retail partners including Walmart, Target, and Kroger. This role works closely with the Shopper Marketing Associate Manager, internal brand teams, and external agency partners to ensure brand consistency, performance, and alignment with retailer media network requirements.

Key Accountabilities

  • Campaign Execution: Support the planning and execution of shopper marketing campaigns across retail media networks (RMNs), ensuring timelines, assets, and messaging are aligned across platforms.
  • Digital Shelf Management: Assist the Shopper Marketing Manager in optimizing and managing product content on the digital shelf across retailer websites.
  • Retail Media Content: Manage, upload, and edit content across retailer platforms, maintaining consistency with brand messaging and creative standards.
  • Platform Management: Oversee brand portfolio content within Salsify and other relevant content syndication or eCommerce platforms.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with the brand team to ensure marketing initiatives reflect the voice of the customer and resonate with shopper insights.
  • Retailer Best Practices: Stay up-to-date on retailer-specific media requirements and best practices, and regularly inform brand teams and agency partners to ensure compliance.
  • Creative Development: Collaborate on the development of shopper marketing creative, ensuring assets are tailored for performance within each retail environment.
  • Coupon and Retailer Promotional Programming: Collaborate with sales, retailers and national coupon partners like Ibotta and Inmar.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum requirement of 2 years of relevant work experience. Typically reflects 3 years or more of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with retail media networks such as Walmart Connect, Roundel (Target), Kroger Precision Marketing, etc.
  • Experience working in or with platforms like Salsify, Syndigo, or other product content management tools.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Passion for the shopper journey and a customer-first mindset

External Applicant Information

The expected salary for this position is $69,000 to $90,000. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific location, certifications, education, and level of experience. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. This position is eligible for a discretionary incentive award. The incentive award amount is dependent upon company performance and your personal performance.  At Cargill we put people first.
