This position is in our Ag & Trading enterprise, where we connect producers and users of grains and oilseeds around the globe through origination, trading, processing, and distribution. We also offer a range of farmer services and risk management solutions.
Job Purpose and Impact
As a Trading Support Specialist your primary responsibilities are supporting merchants by assisting in the execution of rail contracts including rail application, rail billing, contract administration, contract pricing, and customer service. In this position you will also be responsible for coordinating closely with accounting teams to ensure timely contract application and settlement of trains. This role is primarily remote but requires the ability to work onsite in Wayzata, MN when business needs arise.
Key Accountabilities
- Work closely with merchants, regional teams, and counterparties rail application and billing. Assist to resolve any customer or internal issues that arise.
- Execute futures pricings and exchanges, washes, underfill/overfills, etc. Assist merchants in tracking open contract balances and reconcile trades with broker confirmations and open contract reports.
- Customer Service/Issue Resolution: Key contact for customer questions regarding contract maintenance. This person will be responsible for coordinating closely with the accounting finance group to make sure issues are resolved in timely and accurate manner.
- Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
- Provide backup for the rest of the trading support team as needed.
- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned and handle special projects as needed, such as discount schedules, report generation, etc.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or minimum of two years of related work experience
- Strong communication skills and proven ability to communicate with multiple levels within an organization
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to handle fast-paced work environment
- Detail orientation and ability to multi-task
- Ability to work independently and prioritize
- Excellent follow-up skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstration of high-level products and process knowledge
- Strong computer skills; intermediate level or above in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
Additional Posting Detail
The expected salary for this position is $65,000 - $85,000 Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific location, certifications, education, and level of experience. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. This position is eligible for a discretionary incentive award. The incentive award amount is dependent upon company performance and your personal performance.
