Associate Marketing Manager, Retail Deli

Job Purpose and Impact
The Associate Marketing Manager, Deli, supports the execution of marketing strategies and priorities across Deli categories within CFNA’s Retail channel. In this role, you will work collaboratively with the Value-Added Protein Sr. Marketing Manager, commercial team, R&D, and sales organization to establish and execute marketing plans for our bulk deli meat, pre-sliced deli meat, and packaged deli meat lines. By applying strong market, customer, and consumer understanding, you will help translate strategic direction into actionable plans that drive business performance and support category growth.
Key Accountabilities
Support the development and execution of the marketing strategy for Deli categories within the Retail channel, aligned to business objectives.
Contribute insights on market trends, customer strategies, consumer needs, and competitive dynamics to inform category direction and priority setting.
Support customer engagement plans, help craft sell stories, and assist in development of marketing materials to meet specific customer needs
Support pipeline development innovation by contributing to concept ideation, business assessments, and project coordination
Partner with R&D, Business, and other cross-functional teams to help move innovation concepts from ideas through commercialization.
Track innovation progress, timelines, and milestones to ensure execution stays aligned with priorities.
Support the development and execution of marketing programs, launches, promotions, and customer-facing materials.
Coordinate with agency partners and internal resources to deliver high-quality marketing assets on time and within scope.
Provide expert thought leadership in your field and work with limited direction, using additional research and interpretation to identify issues or problems.
Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business Administration, a related field OR equivalent experience
Minimum requirement of 4-6 years of relevant work experience
Ability to translate insights and data into clear recommendations and action plans
Strong organizational, communication, and project management skills; proven experience collaborating cross-functionally
Ability to work on-site in Wayzata, MN or Wichita, KS office on a frequent and regular basis
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in food, retail, or consumer-packaged goods marketing
Experience supporting marketing strategy execution in a cross-functional, matrixed environment
Ability to navigate complex organizational structures and influence without direct authority

The expected salary for this position is $95k-$130k. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific location, certifications, education, and level of experience. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.
