Job Purpose and Impact

The Director, Product Line - Ground Beef will develop business plans across the grind segment and lead all aspects of the execution of product line activities for grind products and customers. In this role, you will direct a team that optimize profitability of product lines through pricing and market strategies for ground beef product lines, designs, and implements a comprehensive product marketing cycle, identify market potential, estimate potential sales, define promotional activities, and handle product through phase out.

Key Accountabilities

  • Develop process improvements, analyze information, and perform related tasks to provide solutions to customers, grow the grind segment profitably and align cross-functional teams on plans.
  • Direct compiling and evaluating research on market product requirements and identify enhancements to current features and functionality.
  • Monitor program planning with customers to identify manufacturing schedules, goals, design criteria, costs, and similar considerations.
  • Plan, organize and coordinate assigned complex programs and strategies to accomplish grind financial and budgetary goals, on an annual basis.
  • Develop plans and deliver results in a fast-changing business or regulatory environment, while leading and developing a team of professionals, coaching, and making decisions related to talent management hiring, performance, and disciplinary actions.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience

  • Minimum of six years of related work experience in sales, supply chain, operations, pricing, marketing, or business management

  • Ability to travel up to 20%

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to quickly build process and insight expertise, strong communication, facilitation, presentation, and organizational skills

  • Proven influencing skills at all levels of a large and complex organization including the ability to build trust and strong relationships internally and externally; ability to  bring an external viewpoint

  • Ability to work under limited supervision and handle complex issues

  • Prior experience working in and leading cross-functional teams

  • Advise on the preparation and coordination of product introductions and updates

  • Prior experience in product development or project management to provide innovative solutions to customers
