Job Purpose and Impact
The Human Resources Operations Specialist - Time and Attendance (open to remote) job performs moderately complex human resources services spanning data administration, time and attendance, position management, exit processing, service delivery enablement, vendor management, benefits and other transactions to ensure the successful operations of the human resources administrative services. Under limited supervision, this job provides information to employees and managers and performs and verifies human resources services administration activities including time and attendance, new hire and termination data validations.
Key Accountabilities
- EMPLOYEE SUPPORT: Provides information to employees and managers to address questions and performs moderately complex transactions on employee benefits programs, time and attendance and human resources policies, including disability, health and life benefits, paid time off and retirement plans.
- HR RESEARCH: Analyzes internal and external research to maintain knowledge of industry and market trends, assesses the organization's human resources processes and standards and performance metrics, identifies impacts to the organization's human resources administrative services, processes and standards, and proposes improvements to leadership.
- COMPLIANCE SUPPORT: Monitors employee related legislation compliance, including providing guidance on regulatory updates, and supplying to the development of guidelines and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations.
- QUALITY ASSURANCE & CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT: Leads moderately complex projects related to process optimization and standardization, including implementing accountability measures and processes to ensure compliance, conducting analyses of human resources administrative services performance metrics, and identifying areas of opportunity to enhance services.
- HR SERVICES ADMINISTRATION: Maintains and reconciles employee related data and time and attendance data, and verifies and administers other human resources records and data, ensuring exceptions and errors are resolved in a timely manner.
- PROCESS IMPLEMENTATION: Monitors and ensures consistent implementation of time and attendance and other employee lifecycle related processes.
- VENDOR MANAGEMENT: Supports the partnership with key vendors and stakeholders to stay updated on the latest technologies, tools and methodologies, and helps identify opportunities to integrate them into program design and delivery.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum requirement of 2 years of relevant work experience. Typically reflects 3 years or more of relevant experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel
- Demonstrates exceptional communication skills with ability to explain complex pay situations and de-escalate situations effectively
- Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous experience with payroll operations and policies
- Demonstrated use of AI skills and applications
- Experience and/or knowledge in UKG (work force time management), Power BI, Kronos, GlobalView
