Job Purpose and Impact

The Food Safety, Quality and Regulatory Technician III will perform and record monitoring activities, process verification and audits of finished product and shelf life samples to ensure products meet all quality measures using an understanding policy and procedures under occasional guidance. In this role, you will ensure all products meet all safety and regulatory policies and procedures.

Key Accountabilities

  • Monitor and administer all plant specific and corporate food safety and quality programs per the Cargill Food and Safety Policy Manual (CFSRA) and the Global Food Safety Standards (BRC).
  • Obtain finished product and shelf life samples for testing and perform preoperational inspections and accompany inspectors during inspections, along with performing quality monitoring of product and processes.
  • Complete and record monitoring activities, process verifications and audits, including raw material, document deviations and record corrective actions retain or hold nonconforming product and may participate in disposition decisions of nonconforming product of all areas within the facility.
  • Provide general training for new Food Safety, Quality and Regulatory Technicians.
  • Routinely enter data in Food Safety, Quality and Regulatory data system with limited to no guidance or direction.
  • Participate with auditing supplies to maintain inventory, provide project support and identify and share areas for continuous improvement.
  • Understand and adhere to all safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean work environment.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications, Skills & Experience

  • Level 3 Food Hygiene Certificate
  • Level 3 HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point) Certification
  • Level 1 Basic Microbiology Certificate
  • 2–3 years’ experience in a food manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Proven experience conducting internal audits
  • Strong understanding of risk assessment principles and SAP systems
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently using own initiative
  • Strong team player, with the ability to liaise effectively across different teams and departments in a fast-paced environment
  • Good standard of English communication and numeracy skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
