This position is in our Food Enterprise where we are committed to serving food manufacturers, food service customers, and retailers with a complete range of innovative ingredients and branded products. Our portfolio includes poultry, beef, egg, alternative protein, salt, oils, starches, sweeteners, cocoa and chocolate.

Job Purpose and Impact

The Senior Technical Account Manager will provide technical advice and support to customers during and after product sales. You will collaborate with a sales team to develop customer relationships and trust through technical knowledge and expertise. In this role, you will be the lead contact for customers, and you will stay ahead of technology and business practices through workshops, research and professional meetings.


This position involves frequent business travel (approximately 20% of working time) and offers the flexibility to work remotely. We also provide a company car.

Key Accountabilities

  • Develop strong technical relationship for current key customers & prospects, while providing (onsite) technical support for current customers and prospects. Aligned with Cargill strategic and category targets.
  • Build on the customer relationship to create & win projects, aligned with Cargill R&D and category strategy.
  • Perform complex research for product development to understand product properties and systems operations.
  • Compile and analyze data for project update, working with external suppliers to test new products and technologies to make recommendations on applications.
  • Organize project data and conclusions for internal and customer presentations, assist with product demonstrations and service as subject matter guide during meetings with prospective customers.
  • Stay ahead of product insight and research to improve value of offerings.
  • Keep application and value collection up to date in the systems.
  • Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.
  • Cargill strategic and category targets.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in a related field (e.g., process engineering, chemistry, core-located technology) and/or equivalent experience.
  • Relevant expertise in chocolate confectionery, particularly pralines.
  • Min 2 years of customer facing experience in a technical role.
  • Fluent Polish language skills and knowledge of the local market.
  • Fluent English – daily work in an international environment.
  • Readiness for business trips: 20% work time.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in food chemistry and/or equivalent experience.
  • In depth practical work experience in the chocolate confectionery and/or bakery industry.
  • In depth ingredient expertise on chocolate, cocoa and/or Oils & fats.
  • Detailed knowledge in chocolate - cocoa production and/or oils & fats.
  • Additional Eastern European language knowledge is a plus.
