This position is in our specialized portfolio enterprise where we serve diverse businesses who support unique customers or markets, including animal nutrition and health, bioindustrial, road safety salt and Cargill joint ventures. 

Job Purpose and Impact

The Junior Export Lead will support the development and expansion of the company’s export business across an assigned international region. In this role, you will contribute to building strong customer relationships, identifying business opportunities, and delivering value-based solutions tailored to customer needs. Working closely with internal commercial, technical, supply chain and pricing teams, you will help ensure smooth execution of export activities while progressively developing your commercial, technical and international business skills.

This position is ideal for an early-career professional looking to grow into an international sales role in a B2B environment.

Key Accountabilities

  • Support the development and execution of export sales strategies in line with regional and customer objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, feed millers and partners in assigned export markets.
  • Understand customer needs and support the proposal of appropriate products, services and solutions 
  • Identify prospective customers and new business opportunities, contributing to profitable and sustainable growth.
  • Prepare and manage quotations and pricing in line with internal pricing guidelines and commercial policies.
  • Assist in order processing, contract follow-up, and coordination with supply chain teams to ensure on-time delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with technical, marketing, regulatory and customer service teams to deliver adapted and value-added solutions.
  • Collect and share market, customer and competitor insights to support commercial decision-making and portfolio development.
  • Monitor account performance, customer retention and sales pipeline using CRM tools.
  • Handle routine customer issues under guidance, escalating more complex matters when required.
  • Participate in trade shows, customer visits and internal meetings as part of your development.

Travel : Regular international travel within the assigned export area, including occasional overnight stays.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, International Trade, Agribusiness, Animal Science, or a related field.
  • First experience or strong interest in B2B sales, export, or international business environments.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and long-term relationships.
  • Strong customer-oriented mindset and willingness to learn technical products and markets.
  • Fluent English (written and spoken); additional languages are a strong advantage.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Business, International Trade, Agribusiness, Animal Science, or related field.
  • Initial exposure to technical sales, nutrition, ingredients, or industrial B2B environments.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools and basic data analysis (Excel, reporting tools).
  • Ability to work effectively in an international, matrix organization.
