Principal Accountabilities:
- Operate all equipment associated with the process, blowers, conditioners, extruders, cutters, dryers, grinders, packaging equipment, truck unload and load out and rail load out.
- Operate Extrusion & Flour Process Equipment
- Operate Fine Grind Truck Load out and Soy Flour Truck/Rail load out.
- Monitor/observe Extrusion Equipment and Fine Grind Truck lead-out.
- Monitor soy flake grinding and soy lecithin applications
- Ensure accurate information of scale weights and transactions are recorded daily.
- Collect and process flour mill and extrusion samples using various lab equipment to obtain and record values on a computer spreadsheet.
- Move packaged product using a forklift.
- Understanding and adhering to all safety rules and regulations.
- Maintaining a safe and clean work environment
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
- Be 18 years or older
- Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)
- Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Ability to work overtime including holidays, nights, weekends, or different shifts with advance notice
- Mechanical aptitude
Preferred Qualifications:
- Basic experience troubleshooting various mechanical components and systems
- Prior experience in production related work
- Experience operating forklifts and/or similar equipment
- Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), such as SAP
- Working experience with software programs such as Microsoft Office, and Outlook
